According to the strict quality parameters governing the winery, the selection of the vineyards takes place. Most of Valdamor vineyards are located in Salnés Valley, which by its special geo-climatic, sandy soils of granitic character, and a peculiar microclimate with mild, rainy winters and hot summers, gives to the grapes a very special characteristic, with a perfect balance between acidity and alcoholic strength.

Valdamor controls the entire vinification process, which begins with the prunes and ends with the delivery of grapes at the winery, through technical advice and quality control prior to the harvest.

The usual distribution of the vines in the region are “the Parrels”, as due to ground moisture and the thickness of the strain Albariño,  helps to optimize the maturation of the grapes and also control the proliferation of pests.

Valdamor uses grape that comes from young and old vines, some even before the existence of the DO, with strains that become centenarians.
